Mellington Hall
Mellington Hall is a Grade II listed Gothic country house completed in 1876 for Philip Wright, standing within an older house site, a Grade II registered historic park and an ancient border landscape crossed by Offa’s Dyke.
This edition is designed as an interactive evidence-led companion. Its complete researched corpus remains available in the corpus folder supplied with the project.
Research statement
This history is assembled from Cadw and Coflein heritage records, archive catalogues, digitised historical publications, maps, company records and material published by Mellington Hall. Where evidence differs or remains incomplete, the uncertainty is shown rather than silently resolved.
